LACQUER WORK ARTIFACTS



Lacquer ware is perhaps the most distinctive and traditional of all Myanmar Burma handicrafts. It takes at least 7 months or longer to produce these fine long lasting items. .

Lacquer ware was long a favorite of royalty for storing documents and precious jewelries. The most popular items made of lacquerware are bowls, trays, betel-nut containers, small decorative boxes, tables and screens.
